Bionimation Project
Head of the Expertise Department | Jul 2022 - Oct 2022| Comic
Bionimation is an innovative project aimed at utilizing comics to deliver engaging biology lessons, inspiring a love for the subject among students. By merging art and education, we hope to create a dynamic learning experience that resonates with young learners.
As the Head of the Expertise Department, I am actively involved in the Bionimation Project, where I play a crucial role in shaping our approach. This unique initiative transforms complex biology topics into visually captivating comic stories, making them more relatable and easier to understand. Drawing on my strength in painting, I contribute significantly to the project by conceptualizing comic layouts and designing visuals that effectively communicate biological concepts.
Once we develop our comic ideas, I collaborate closely with my talented peers, who assist in painting and bringing the illustrations to life. Together, we produce colorful and informative comics that not only educate but also make learning biology a fun and accessible experience for students. Our team works meticulously to ensure that each comic resonates with young readers, sparking their curiosity and encouraging them to explore the wonders of biology further.
The lessons created through the Bionimation project are well-documented and have been compiled into printed books. These books are distributed to the libraries of five secondary schools across various provinces, including Hanoi, allowing our engaging approach to biology education to reach a broader audience. The feedback we’ve received from both teachers and students has been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing the value of creative methodologies in education.
By combining art and science, the Bionimation project not only enhances students' understanding of biology but also fosters a lifelong appreciation for the subject. As we continue to expand our reach, we look forward to inspiring even more students to discover the beauty of biology through our comics.
We visited some secondary schools in Hanoi to conduct training sessions on cells, drowning prevention and other topics. We also donated comic books to the school libraries to ensure more students could benefit from them. The books received high praise from both students and teachers for their engaging content and effective teaching methods.
